Beans

Varieties that I've used so far; Blue Lake, Purple King, Stringless Pioneer, Butter Bean

When to sow; Hot All year round Warm Spring, Summer Cool Spring, early Summer

Location; Sunny, sheltered situation

Sow; 25mm (1 inch) straight into ground. Don't water for a few days after sowing.

Spacing; about 7cm to 15cm and try to keep weed free.

Germination; 7-10 days

Harvest; Anywhere from 8-10 weeks, very quick once they get started.

Tips; They like to have the water kept up to them as well as mulch around the roots.

What luck have I had; Have been great for me all the varieties, just started planting the Dwarf varieties and I love them, you won't get as many beans long term but will give you a lot quickly then just pull out and plant some more.
