Rockmelon

Varieties that I've used so far; Hales Best

When to sow; Hot Spring, Summer, Autumn Warm Spring, Summer Cool Spring, Summer

Location; Sunny, well prepared soil

Sow; 12mm (1/2 inch) 2-3 seeds in a group, later thinning to the strongest 2 seedlings.  Or for an early crop in seed trays, transplant when seedlings are strong enough.

Spacing; about 50cm apart.

Germination; 6-10 days

Harvest; About 12-14 weeks.

Tips; Pinch out growing tips at 5-6 leaf stage to encourage side shoots.

What luck have I had; Have only tried them once so far and have had no luck at all with them, the plant seemed healthy enough but had no fruit at all from the plant, might give them another go this year but isn't high on the list I must say.
