Snow Pea

Varieties that I've used so far; Chinese Snow Peas

When to sow; Hot Autumn, Winter Warm Autumn, Winter Cool Autumn, Winter, Spring

Location; Sunny position

Sow; In flat trenches in zig zag fashion along the middle of the trench.  Fill in with soil and gently firm down.

Spacing; about 7cm between seeds and about 70cm between rows.

Germination; 7-10 days

Harvest; About 14 weeks.

Tips; Add lime to the soil before sowing and pick every few days to prolong cropping.  Use some tall garden stakes with string or a trellis for the snow pea plant to grow up.

What luck have I had; A must have for the veggie patch not only do you get great tasting Snow Peas you also get Pea straw to use on your summer crops.
