Tomato

Varieties that I've used so far; Roma,  Grosse Lisse, Russian Black, Low Acid Yellow and Tiny Tims

When to sow; Hot All year round Warm All year round Cool Spring, Summer

Location; Sunny well drained position, rich soil and shelter

Sow; 5mm (1/4 inch) In seed tray and keep moist.  Transplant when seedlings are about 10-15cm. Can also be sown direct in cropping position but keep away from the birds as they tend to cut young plants from the bottom.

Spacing; about 60cm apart.

Germination; 10-14 days

Harvest; When ripe.

Tips; Keep well watered and feed weekly.  If soil dries out can cause splitting in the fruit.

What luck have I had; A must have in the home veggie garden, very easy to grow and taste better than any you'll get from the shop.
